Third annual collaboration with the Midwest Young Artists (MYA).
2014 participants included the Young Scholars Matthew Chan, Avery Lin Gagliano, Sherri Lun, Clayton Stephenson, and Elliot Wuu. Together with the MYA orchestra, under the direction of conductor and Artistic Director, Dr. Allan Dennis, they performed first movements of Ravel’s Piano Concert in G-Major, Saint-Saens’ Piano Concert No. 2, Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 19 in F-Major and No. 17 in G-Major at The Ravinia Festival, where Lang Lang made his American debut.
Aside from rehearsals and musical study, the Scholars also participated in side activities such as an Architectural Tour of down town Chicago.
