Lang Lang’s Words on Partnerships

“My Foundation has been working hard to plan ways for us to achieve our mission of educating and inspiring the next generation of classical music lovers and performers.

We don’t want to reinvent the wheel, so we are looking to partner with existing organizations that have already created successful models run by passionate leaders. Our focus is to find partners who have a similar mission and where we can build programs and events that I can both personally engage in that bring inspiration to directly to children as students and as audience members but also where I can help bring visibility to causes that we believe in and want to see succeed. It pains me to see music programs being cut from schools and I want do something about it. So I look forward to speaking out as a vocal advocate about the importance of music education and to helping champion music education models that are working and ready to go to scale, with the hope that my voice can help them get visibility and increasing funds, to reach even more children.

We are finding a lot of passionate individuals and organizations that will be ideal partners for us, but we are always looking for new ideas.  We are actively identifying partners from leading music institutions, research centers, technology hubs, and music education advocacy organizations to explore opportunities to develop, deliver, and scale key programs to improve music education around the world. We are also actively solidifying relationships with businesses who are striving for high quality work, support for music and the Arts and who are good global corporate citizens. It is a very exciting time for me, to see that steps are taken towards realizing my hopes. I am really happy about the charitable work that I am engaged in, it’s wonderful to have the chance to give back to something that I feel so strongly about.”
